Does Cashflow connect to my bank?

No — and that's deliberate. Cashflow is a manual tracker: you enter your accounts and balances yourself. There are no bank logins, no aggregation services, and nothing to breach. It keeps your finances private and makes you the single source of truth for your own numbers.

Where is my data stored? Is it synced?

Your data is computed and stored on your device, and syncs between your devices through your own private iCloud (Apple's CloudKit). It never touches our servers — Cashflow has none. We can't see your figures; they move only between your iPhone, iPad and Mac via your personal iCloud account. Turn iCloud off for the app and it stays entirely local. Deleting the app removes its local data.

How do I add an account?

On the Accounts tab, use Add account (or the button on the empty state). Group several accounts under one bank to see per-bank subtotals, and your assets, debt and net worth roll up automatically.

How is the forecast calculated?

Cashflow carries your recurring income and spending forward from your current balances and projects your balance day by day — from next month out to your full horizon (deeper horizons and a confidence range are part of Pro). It's a clearly labelled forecast — an estimate based only on the recurring items you've entered, not a guarantee.

How accurate are the forecast, tax & FIRE figures?

They're estimates to help you plan — not financial or tax advice. Forecasts assume your recurring items continue as entered; tax and FIRE figures use best-effort models of the main rules and deliberately ignore the long tail (extra deductions, credits, multiple income sources, regional variations, market returns). Always confirm important numbers with a qualified professional before relying on them.

What's free, and what's Cashflow Pro?

Free, forever: unlimited banks and accounts, your one-number Overview, the Accounts & net-worth views, a day-by-day forecast, the activity log with receipt scanning, heads-up low-balance and big-bill alerts, Plan & cut-costs, Home & Lock Screen widgets, Siri Shortcuts, 5 themes, light/dark mode, and the Face ID / passcode lock.

Cashflow Pro adds: deeper forecasting (full horizon & confidence range), what-if scenarios, FIRE & debt-payoff planning, deep analytics (spending, cashflow & runway, net-worth history), and reports & export (PDF + CSV). Pro is a one-time Lifetime purchase. An optional Supporter subscription (monthly or annual) is a voluntary tip that funds development and also unlocks every Pro feature while it's active.

I bought Pro but don't see it.

Open the upgrade screen and tap Restore Purchases, making sure you're signed in with the Apple ID you used to buy. Purchases restore across your devices.

How do I cancel the Supporter subscription?

Manage or cancel it any time in Settings ▸ [your name] ▸ Subscriptions on your iPhone (or via the App Store). The one-time Lifetime unlock isn't a subscription and never renews.

How do I set up the app lock?

Cashflow can lock with Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode. When enabled, it asks to authenticate automatically each time you open it — no extra tap needed.

Which currency does it use?

Cashflow shows your total in EUR and converts other currencies using a built-in reference exchange-rate table. Per-account balances stay in their own currency.

Do you collect my data?

No. There's no account, no tracking, and no ads. Your financial data is computed on your device and syncs only through your own private iCloud — never to us. See our Privacy Policy.
